Our mental health is every bit as
important as our physical health. If a person lives with feelings of anxiety, sadness, anger, confusion,
or any other stressful emotion for any length of time it can affect their well-being on a physical, mental,
emotional, and spiritual level. Psychotherapy is a process of getting to know ourselves better in
order to understand our relationships, reactions, and behaviors, as well as the behaviors of those around
us. I offer private psychotherapy and compulsive behavior counseling to men, women and older adolescents
who want to live more satisfying lives.
You may want to clarify your thoughts
and feelings to improve your relationships or to seek relief from stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, low
self-esteem, or shame. I work with people dealing with grief and loss, mid-life situations (empty
nest syndrome, change in occupation, finances, or abilities) and relationship issues, such as, divorce,
infidelity, and domestic abuse.

Addictive and compulsive behaviors take
many forms. Included are heavy drinking, using drugs and abusing prescription medications. Also
included are compulsive eating, food addiction, anorexia and bulimia. Less frequently mentioned compulsive
behaviors include shopping and excessive debt accumulation, workaholism, and spending time on the computer
to the detriment of one’s health and relationships. I work with individuals who recognize that they may
have a problem with these or any number of other compulsive behaviors.
My weight control program takes a psychological
approach and includes gathering a complete history in order to discover possible traumas or family dysfunctions
which may contribute to the unwanted behavior. I give my clients emotional support, as
well as, comprehensive, food planning guidelines which are easy to follow.
If you have recently gotten a DWI or
DUI, you will probably be required to obtain an alcohol or drug use or chemical dependency assessment or evaluations.
I can assist you by providing this document.
I am a committed, dedicated professional
and have many years education and experience to empower you toward the life you seek. I use respect,
compassion, intuition and humor as well as up to the moment scientific theories. I welcome your confidential
inquiry.
